PIerre Favres Solo Works aus den Siebzigerjahren sind funkelnde Bausteine in der europäischen Jazzgeschichte. Sie gehören in jede Diskothek der wegweisenden Aufnahmen. Deshalb ist es geradezu notwendig, dass sie neu verlegt werden. Doch sie erweisen sich nicht nur im Sinne eines Quellenverzeichnisses von historischem Interesse, sondern laden im sprudelnden Fluss musikalischer Imagination zugleich zu aktuellem Hörvergnügen ein.
PIerre Favre's 1970s solo works are important milestones in the history of European jazz. Any discography of innovative recordings should include them, and their reissue is long overdue.
