At the Moers Jazz Festival in 1986, the quintet of Irène Schweizer, Maggie Nicols, George Lewis, Joelle Leandre and Guenter Sommer caused quite a commotion. The "Frankfurter Allgemeine" wrote: "a great moment of free improvised music; the listeners gave endless ovations, were stunned, moved, even happy just like the protagonist themselves, who lay in each others arms after the magic process of spontaneous interaction". The record with excerpts from the Moers concert as well as from the subsequent performance at the Zurich Taktlos Festival was awarded the German Record Crtics Price. Now this "great moment of free improvised music" is finally available on CD.

Die "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung" schrieb: "Eine Sternstunde frei imporvisierter Musik; die Zuhörer: mit endlosen Ovationen fassunglos, geruehrt, ja gluecklich wie die Akteure, die sich in den Armen liegen nach der Magie eines solchen Prozesses spontanere Interaktion." Die Platte mit Ausschnitten aus dem Moers-Konzert sowie dem darauf folgenden Auftritt am Zuercher Taktlos-Festival wurde 1988 mit dem Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik ausgezeichnet. Jetzt liegt die "Sternstunde frei improvisierter Musik" endlich auf CD vor.
