No image captures the music of Irène's Hot Four live recording from 1981 (Intakt CD 438) better than Giuseppe Reichmuth's collage featuring a burning piano keyboard. Irène Schweizer's music has become an image, and the image has become music. Several works by Giuseppe Reichmuth, such as Zürich Eiszeit, Dinosaurier auf der Autobahn, and the burning grand piano for the poster of the International Jazz Festival Zurich, have become iconic images of Zurich in the 1980s thanks to Reichmuth's imagination and profound humor. The artist Giuseppe Reichmuth moves between the genres of action art, performance, theater, film, installation, poster art, cover art, sculpture, and painting. And many of his works have a connection to jazz.

Anja Illmaier and Patrik Landolt from Friends of Irène Schweizer visited Giuseppe Reichmuth in his studio and presented him with copies of Irène Schweizer's Hot Four CD featuring Reichmuth's cover art. A nice coincidence: Irène Schweizer's concert at the Zurich International Jazz Festival took place at the Volkshaus, in the same building just a few meters away from Giuseppe Reichmuth's studio apartment. Giuseppe Reichmuth stands here next to a new work entitled “Reserved.”
