Born in Zurich in 1978, Florian Keller grew up between bookshelves and concert stages. He studied German Language and Literature, Art History, and Philosophy at the University of Zurich — a combination that continues to shape his perspective on music and culture.

Florian began his career as a jazz journalist during and after his studies, and has been active as an event organizer since 2011, always seeking out spaces for intense listening experiences outside the mainstream. He joined the unerhört! festival in 2015 and took over as its director in 2022. From 2015 to 2019, he also served as a member of the Popkredit Commission of the City of Zurich.

Florian has always favored the zigzag path over the streamlined one. After completing his studies — and successfully stepping away from a PhD — he worked independently as a writer, worked at Galerie Eva Presenhuber (including at the 2013 Venice Biennale for Valentin Carron’s Swiss Pavilion), and at ECM Records. He joined Intakt Records in 2016 and has held a management role since 2022.

When he’s not thinking about music or buried in a book, Florian can be found plotting whimsical adventures for his family or perfecting the next meal from a thoroughly splattered Italian cookbook. He lives in Zurich with his son Finn and his wife, Fiona Ryan.

Marcel Lehmann picked up the saxophone early, but at the age of 15 he found his real calling on the other side of the stage, in the events side of the music business. As a concert organizer covering everything from punk to classical music, from interdisciplinary formats to cinema and open-air film screenings, he creates spaces where people can come together and experience art. Alongside his degree in cultural management at the Stapferhaus, he spent short periods studying computer science and, at university, Spanish literature and linguistics as well as musicology. A detour into the catering and wine trade completed the picture.

Marcel joined Intakt Records in the summer of 2026, where he brings music and wine together and is happy to recommend the perfect glass to go with every Intakt CD. He takes pleasure in solving problems, and Excel is one of his favorite tools; he tends his spreadsheets with the same care others devote to their houseplants. He is just as much at home in administration, accounts and planning as he is in communication, and his flair for language helps him find the right words at just the right moment. Calmness, curiosity and tenacity in pursuing good ideas are among his most reliable virtues.

The spiders have long since taken over his saxophone, and the piano has gathered dust too. Yet his love of research and experimentation has never left him, whether in the kitchen, in jazz, in cinema or in classical music. His curiosity about the unconventional and the new remains as keen as ever.

A long-time resident of Basel, she prefers to work in areas where organization meets creativity. Her professional career has taken her through many years of working in fields where design, structure, and cultural practice are closely intertwined, first in an interior design firm and later at the Schauspielhaus in the "Theater Basel". There, she coordinated complex processes and supported creative processes behind the scenes. At the same time, she completed a master's degree in social sciences at the University of Zurich, specializing in popular cultures, journalism, and film.

She has been part of Intakt Records since January 2026. Here, too, she uses her overview, improvisational skills, and delicate sense of timing to ensure that processes run smoothly and artistic work is given space. 

She doesn't play music herself, but she listens closely and attentively. Thanks to her close connections to jazz musicians, she knows how important trust, good teamwork, and nuanced tones are. This attention to detail is also evident in her home. When traveling, she searches for the best ramen restaurant, rarely leaves museum shops unscathed, and enjoys adopting kitchen utensils from around the world. She appreciates a coffee or a lavish aperitif in good company.

Fiona Ryan was born in Ireland and studied Multimedia and Communications at Dublin City University before spending ten years in Brooklyn, followed by time in Ecuador and Colombia. She has worked as a textile and graphic designer, as well as in marketing and merchandising, and ran her own business creating sustainable cycling apparel for nine years.

Since moving to Zurich in 2018, Fiona has been an integral part of Intakt Records, carving out a role as designer and writer, and leading the rebuilding of our website and marketing structure. 

Outside of Intakt, Fiona is the graphic artist and designer for the Taktlos Festival and continues her work with textiles, while also playing bike polo and raising a little punk with her husband, Florian Keller.

Born in Zurich, Ariane completed her studies in film and screenwriting in Berlin in 2006, followed by several jobs in administration. In 2015, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education, Media and Cultural Studies at the University of Zurich, and went on to work as deputy managing director of the Swiss Filmmakers’ Association ARF/FDS, as well as contributing to the Corona emergency aid project for Suisseculture, the Swiss umbrella organization of professional cultural associations.

From November 2022 until September 2026, Ariane has been the steady hand at the helm of Intakt’s daily operations — keeping everything running smoothly, managing subscriptions with care, supporting our media partners, and wrangling our systems. From December 2026 she will be stepping back from the daily operations and handling Accounts and bookkeeping on a part-time basis.

Outside of Intakt, Ariane is a stage-shy singer-songwriter who loves cats, oatmeal, summer mornings, bullet points, and music that speaks to you without telling you anything.
