INGRID LAUBROCK AND JAMES BRANDON LEWIS ARE GUGGENHEIM FELLOWS FOR 2026

James Brandon Lewis and Ingrid Laubrock named 2026 Guggenheim Fellows in Music Composition

The Board of Trustees of the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation announced yesterday their appointment of the 101st class of Guggenheim Fellows, including 223 distinguished individuals working across various disciplines. Chosen through a rigorous application and peer review process from a pool of nearly 5'000 applicants, the Class of 2026 Guggenheim Fellows was tapped based on both prior career achievement and exceptional promise.

The Guggenheim Fellowship places Laubrock and Lewis in a class of many forward-thinking academics, artists, scientists, intellectuals, composers, dancers, writers, and researchers, whose work has revolutionized this world.

Congrats, James and Ingrid!
