More Info

"... Dense Band has always been a statement about music and pleasure. I believed it was possible to make dense, intense music with intelligence, humor and passion: to make music that was filled with personal sound; music that was commited to wild combinations of texture, rhythm, energy and song; music that was highly improvised inside of clear song-structures; music that was physical, weird, and almost danceable! Except for structural informatoin in each piece, I almost never told Dense Band Musicians what to play. We enjoyed the surprises and extreme changes that each musician brought to the group." David Moss, 1994
