When the Barry Guy New Orchestra played for the first time, at a concert in Dublin, more than a few of those present Ð in a capacity-straining, adulatory, munificent audience Ð felt almost overwhelmed by what they heard when «Inscape Tableaux» was given it's premier performance. A fervent complexity, an immediate communication. A beautiful sound that relocated the locus of beauty. Barry Guy has composed a daring new work for a unique new ensemble. It makes for an exhilarating first hearing.
