Aruán Ortiz: Créole Renaissance – Piano Solo, NOW ON SALE!
Today is the release of a timely solo record from Aruán Ortiz, which Jim Hynes from Post Genre calls "urgent music, a wakeup call that shuns the bombastic in favor of a quietly compelling peaceful protest."

Last week's release of Better you Don't from Jim Black & The Schrimps is also going down well in the press and Black puts his feelings into words in accompanying lyrics, proving once again that Intakt musicians are not afraid to make clear and astute observations that provoke resistance.

Jazzfestival Saalfelden

Festivals are immensely important for holding, stimulating and sharpening discussions about the dramatic cultural-political situation. Last weekend's Saalfelden Jazzfestival delivered plenty of this energy, despite the awful weather.  In the midst of breathtaking mountain scenery, we immersed ourselves in four days of great concerts, met old and new friends and made plans for the future. Intakt was well represented at the CD booth which was a great place to connect with listeners and subscribers. Thanks to all at Saalfelden for another great festival!
